The Moscos Islands are an island chain stretching 75 km north-south in the Andaman Sea of the Indian Ocean, administratively belonging to Dawei District, Tanintharyi Region, Myanmar. Geographically, they are located between 13°46′24″N–14°27′39″N and 97°45′47″E–97°55′52″E. They are only 16–20 km apart from the Tanintharyi Coast to their east. The archipelago comprises the North Moscos Islands, Middle Moscos Islands (also known as Maungmagan Islands), and South Moscos Islands (also known as Launglon Bok Islands). The North Moscos Islands are further composed of the Heinze Islands and the Bok Ye-gan Group. The total area of the archipelago is 46.54 km², with a coastline length of 137.01 km. The entire territory of the Moscos Islands has been designated as the Moscos Islands Wildlife Sanctuary by the Ministry of Forestry of Myanmar. The Moscos Islands Dataset was compiled based on Google Earth satellite imagery and maps related to Myanmar and the Moscos Islands. The dataset contains 15 data files, stored in .kmz and .shp formats, with an uncompressed size of 717 KB (compressed into 2 data files with a size of 291 KB).
