Motilimonas sp. E26 Genome sequencing and assembly

The epiphytic bacterial strain E26 was isolated from marine red algae (Rhodophyta) Chondrus ocellatus grown on the floating raft for mussel cultivation in the East China Sea. 16S rRNA (>99% identity) and whole genome-based (91% ANI) taxonomic identification suggested its closest relative is Motilimonas cestriensis strain MKS20 but under the thresholds of the same species.

附生细菌菌株E26分离自东海贻贝养殖浮筏上生长的海洋红藻（Rhodophyta）眼斑角叉菜（Chondrus ocellatus）。经基于16S核糖体RNA（16S rRNA，序列一致性>99%）和全基因组平均核苷酸一致性（ANI，91%）的分类学鉴定，其最接近的近缘菌株为莫替利莫纳菌（Motilimonas cestriensis）MKS20，但该相似度未达到同种物种的判定阈值。
