Supporting and implementing sustainable management of pastoral lands

This project will engage and work with pastoral land managers across the NT to increase awareness and adoption of sustainable land management practices to improve productivity and deliver ecosystem services, and to increase the capacity, knowledge and skills of land managers to manage natural resources.
It will support planning for and coordination of collaborative activities on a catchment scale, leverage support from land managers, and implement on ground actions to achieve outcomes. It will also deliver and support activities including training courses, workshops and forums to further expand the skills and expertise of land managers.
A key component of the project will be the continued investment in TNRM’s successful existing pastoral landcare coordinator project which will support coordination and the on-ground activities of the four existing pastoral landcare/land management groups whose membership covers much of the pastoral land in the NT.

本项目将与北领地（NT）全境的牧区土地管理者（pastoral land managers）开展合作，提升其对可持续土地管理实践（sustainable land management practices）的认知与应用水平，以提升生产效率并提供生态系统服务（ecosystem services），同时增强土地管理者管理自然资源（natural resources）的能力、知识与技能储备。
本项目将支持流域尺度（catchment scale）协作活动的规划与协调，争取土地管理者的支持与参与，并落地实地行动（on-ground actions）以达成既定目标。此外，项目还将筹办并支持包括培训课程（training courses）、工作坊（workshops）与论坛（forums）在内的各类活动，进一步拓展土地管理者的专业技能与专长。
本项目的核心组成部分之一，是持续投入支持TNRM旗下已取得成功的现有牧区土地保育协调项目（pastoral landcare coordinator project）。该项目将为四个现有牧区土地保育/土地管理小组（pastoral landcare/land management groups）的协调工作与实地活动提供支持，这些小组的成员覆盖了北领地境内绝大多数牧区土地。
