SubgenIrisPlast Dataset

SubgenIrisPlast is an aligned dataset of seven plastid markers comprising almost 8,000 sequenced bp for 87 Iris taxa. Seventy-one taxa, representing each of the six sections and about 80% of the recognized species in subgenus Iris, and 11 outgroup taxa were included in the study. Also included were five Asian species that share some morphological characteristics with subgenus Iris but are typically considered in other subgenera. This dataset is utilized in the publication: Wilson, C. 2017. Sectional relationships in the Eurasian bearded Iris (subgen. Iris) based on phylogenetic analyses of sequence data. Syst. Bot.
