IODP Expedition 393 Magnetic remanence (SRM-longcore)

Magnetic remanence was measured on section halves (and rarely on whole-round sections) using a 2G Enterprises 760R cryogenic magnetometer, first as natural remanent magnetization (NRM) and then after demagnetization steps were performed on the samples by alternating field (AF) demagnetizer coils mounted in-line within the instrument.采用2G Enterprises公司760R型低温磁力仪，对岩心半段（极少数情况下采用整段岩心）开展磁剩磁测量：首先测定样品的天然剩磁（natural remanent magnetization, NRM），随后利用仪器内置同轴安装的交变退磁（alternating field, AF）线圈对样品实施分步退磁，之后再次完成磁剩磁测量。
