Chapman, directed by George Pratt, at the University of Southern California, 1949.Sample preparation and slicing on microtome, 1949. A portion of an unidentified sample is immersed in a solution, placed on a small block and hardened. It is then mounted on a microtome which slices the sample thinly enough to be viewed under a microscope. Film slates indicate: Name Chapman; Project P114; Rolls 346, 348, 395. A very brief unrelated film of several men on a field expedition is inserted in the middle of the microtome footage. “Unlabeled trims and cutouts” -- container. 18 frames per second. 189 feet.
