The gut microbiome of the Threeridge mussel, Amblema plicata

The purpose of this study was to describe the gut microbiome of the Threeridge Mussel, Amblema plicata among the Tennessee River and Mobile River basins. The aim of this study was to detect patterns within river basins, describe the microbiome of a regionally important mussel species, and identify a core microbiome. This study investigated the importance of both transient and core microbiota, as well as the impact of geographic distance and environmental variables on gut microbiomes.

本研究旨在描述田纳西河流域与莫比尔河流域内三脊蚌（*Amblema plicata*）的肠道微生物组（gut microbiome），具体目标包括探明流域内的微生物组分布模式、阐明这一区域重要蚌类物种的微生物组特征，以及确定其核心微生物组（core microbiome）。同时，本研究还探究了暂驻菌群（transient microbiota）与核心菌群（core microbiota）的重要性，以及地理距离与环境变量对肠道微生物组的影响。
