The SEMAINE video dataset contains spontaneous audiovisual interaction data capturing interactions between human participants and operators portraying embodied agents with four distinct personalities: Poppy (happy), Obadiah (melancholic), Spike (angry), and Prudence (pragmatic). The audiovisual sequences are recorded at 25 fps with a resolution of 352 × 288 pixels. This dataset comprises audiovisual interactions between humans and operators acting as sensitive artificial agents. SEMAINE video clips are annotated with multiple cognitive states including agreement, interest, certainty, focus, and deliberation, with continuous ratings ranging from -1 to 1, where -1 indicates the most negative score (i.e., no focus whatsoever) and +1 represents the highest (most concentrated) level. Twenty-four recording sessions were utilized in the Solid SAL scenario. The recordings were jointly conducted by users and operators, with an average of four character interactions per session, yielding a total of 95 character interactions and 190 video clips.
