CORDEX South Asia

The CORDEX South Asia dataset was developed by the Climate Change Research Centre, Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology, and focuses on climate change research in the South Asia region. This dataset contains dynamic downscaling projections from 10 models, spanning the period from 1976 to 2100, and provides high-resolution (50 km) regional climate change projections. The creation of the dataset involved simulations using Atmosphere-Ocean Coupled General Circulation Models (AOGCMs) and Representative Concentration Pathways (RCPs). This dataset is primarily used to assess the impacts of climate change at the regional scale, especially in regions sensitive to fine-scale climate gradients and topographic effects. Additionally, it is used to enhance public understanding of future climate patterns and support scientific research and policy-making.
