New species of genus Ipomoea (Convolvulaceae): Complete chloroplast genome sequence, annotation and phylogenetic analysis

Ipomoea shivakumarana is a new species of genus Ipomoea from Karnataka, India. Completechloroplast (cp) genome of this species is sequenced, assembled and annotated here. Thesequence results revealed that the complete cp genome sequence of I. shivakumarana has atotal length of 1,64,327bp and containing a large single copy (LSC) region of 88,610bp, a smallsingle copy (SSC) region of 12,090bp and pair of inverted repeats (IRs) regions of 30,624bp.The total GC content of the species is 37.45%.

希瓦库马尔牵牛（Ipomoea shivakumarana）是源自印度卡纳塔克邦的牵牛属（Ipomoea）新物种。本研究对该物种的完整叶绿体（chloroplast, cp）基因组进行了测序、组装与注释。测序结果显示，I. shivakumarana的完整cp基因组总长为164327 bp，包含一个长88610 bp的大单拷贝（large single copy, LSC）区域、一个长12090 bp的小单拷贝（small single copy, SSC）区域，以及一对长度为30624 bp的反向重复（inverted repeats, IRs）区域。该物种的总GC含量为37.45%。
