Academic identity formation is inherently social and developmental. With the notion that academic identity formation within the doctoral education stage is highly influenced on how the students interact with their faculty and peers and how they perceived the current academe. The current data includes information from 94 doctoral students studying in Taiwan. Besides the background demographics, importance and satisfaction with regards to their mentor experience, community engagement, and course undertaking are collected. In addition, perceived career outlook and meaning of academic scholarship are also noted.
学术身份建构本质上兼具社会性与发展性。学界普遍认为,博士教育阶段的学术身份建构,在很大程度上受学生与导师、同辈的互动模式,以及学生对当前学术生态的认知所影响。本数据集涵盖台湾地区94名博士生的相关信息:除基础人口统计学背景外,还收集了学生对导师指导体验、学术社群参与、课程修习的重要性感知与满意度数据;此外,还记录了学生对职业前景的认知,以及学术奖学金的意义感知相关内容。
