Global sustainable debt issuance as share of total debt issued 2020-2023, by country

In recent years, sustainable debt instruments have been expanding and growing in popularity. During the first quarter of 2023, among all countries listed, Slovenia had the highest share of sustainable debt issued, amounting to 71 percent of total debt issued. Ireland was second in the ranking, with 36 percent of its debt issuance classified as sustainable debt.
