Nahant Coastal Bioblitz

The Nahant Coastal Bioblitz is a scientific scavenger hunt for marine biodiversity. While you’re exploring Nahant’s beaches, record and identify all the marine life that you can find! Then share your findings with other biodiversity explorers at the Northeastern University Marine Science Center. The Bioblitz will help scientists at the Marine Science Center understand how Nahant’s marine life is changing over time, and how Nahant’s beaches compare to other places. If marine species join or leave the beach “neighborhood,” it could change the balance for other ocean life and for everyone connected to Nahant’s waters.

纳恩特海岸生物普查（Nahant Coastal Bioblitz）是一项面向海洋生物多样性的科学寻宝活动。参与者可在纳恩特的海滩开展探索，记录并鉴定所有发现的海洋生物，随后将调查结果分享给东北大学海洋科学中心的其他生物多样性探索者。本次普查将助力该中心的科研人员明晰纳恩特海域海洋生物随时间的变化趋势，同时对比纳恩特海滩与其他区域的海洋生态差异。倘若海洋物种迁入或迁出这片海滩‘邻里群落’，将可能改变其他海洋生物的生存平衡，进而影响所有与纳恩特海域相关的群体。
