British Geological Survey (BGS) Sampling Survey 1981/10: Southern North Sea, Western Approaches and the Celtic Sea (15/5/81-15/10/81)

This sampling survey, aboard the drilling vessel Mariner owned by Heerema Marine Contractors, was part of the British Geological Survey (BGS) Regional Mapping Programme and aimed to drill boreholes in areas covered by Quaternary sediments too thick for vibrocoring or gravity coring methods.
