Maximum Extent Evacuation Zones - LA County Fires 2025

Genasys official zones that were set to evacuation warning or evacuation order status at any point during the LA County fires in Jan. 2025. Data as of 1/23/2025. Notable Fields: most_extreme_status: The highest level of alert assigned to the zone (Evacuation Order or Evacuation Warning) incident_name: The name of the fire associated with the zone Sources: Genasys Official Zones of Evacuation Warning or Evacuation Orders (pre-fire boundaries and current boundaries WFS feed) - used to associate zone boundaries with alerts issued during the fires Genasys Change Log - exports from Genasys system of changes to zone status IPAWS Aware notification boundaries - used to verify and visually assign zone status as needed Additional Notes: Genasys Zone ID (zoneId) breaks down into "Country", "State", "County", "City", and "Zone Sequence". City-Zone sequences were used without the subzone designations to ensure the geography was captured. Manual visual verification of GENASYS initial zones was required due to overlap, gaps, and variation of boundary features. Some liberty was taken with purposeful nodes within IPAWS.
