This data package contains a comprehensive set of materials related to our study on olivine water content in mantle xenoliths.  We have included scanned images of the double-polished thin sections used in our research, providing a visual reference for the samples analyzed. It's worth noting that the sample Kim-01-001 is an exception. Due to its fragmented nature, we were unable to obtain a successful scan of the entire thin section. Instead, we selected a small fragment from this sample to conduct a water content distribution visualization test on a single olivine grain.  A key component of this package is the FTIR-mapping folder, which contains a Matlab program we developed for calculating and visualizing olivine water content. The program's functionality is demonstrated using Kim-50-001 as an example. Additionally, the program automatically generates frequency histograms, offering further insights into the water content distribution.  For those interested in the crystallographic orientation of the olivine grains, we have provided a folder with EBSD data and visualization tools. This includes both the raw EBSD data and a Matlab code (which refers to the MTEX-toolbox) for generating inverse pole figures of individual olivine grains. As an example, users can reproduce the inverse pole figure of the olivine grain Kim-50-002-ol10.  To maintain methodological transparency and facilitate subsequent analyses, we have archived the electron probe microanalyzer (EPMA) data in a supplementary folder, which documents the quantitative mineral compositions determined through systematic point analyses of thin sections. Subsequently, we conducted pressure-temperature (P-T) estimations utilizing the automated calculation spreadsheet developed by Stachel, T. (2022) in "PTEXL - Geothermobarometry of Mantle Rocks, Borealis".  We believe this data package will be valuable for researchers seeking to verify our results, apply our methods to their own studies, or conduct further analyses on the samples we've examined. The combination of raw data, analysis tools, and example outputs should facilitate a deeper understanding of our methodology and findings regarding olivine water content and its implications for mantle processes.
