This dataset provides frequent measurements of canopy temperature using infra-red thermal sensors placed in wheat experimental plots across multiple locations for a period of four years. The high-temporal frequency of the measurements, taken every 10 minutes, allows for detailed monitoring of canopy temperature variations. Canopy stress, such as drought or disease, often manifests as changes in temperature. By analysing this dataset, researchers can assess and quantify canopy stress levels in different locations. Additionally, the inclusion of a check variety within each experimental plot allows for the comparison of stress levels at a MET (Multi-Environment Trial) level. This means that researchers can evaluate the impact of various environmental conditions on canopy stress and compare the stress levels across different locations, providing valuable insights for crop management and breeding programs.
