ASTEN: Global 1°x 1° Monthly Ocean Subsurface Temperature Dataset (1960-2022) Generated by Spatio-Temporal Interpolation

This product is a global ocean subsurface (5-1000 m) temperature dataset (ASTEN) reconstructed from 1960 to 2022 using spatio-temporal interpolation. The vertical interpolation and spatio-temporal interpolation in horizontal space were performed using ocean in-situ observation data after CODCv1 quality control. The high accuracy of the reconstruction is demonstrated by the independent validation set. Furthermore, our reconstructed temperature dataset has a good consistency in comparison with the international IAPv4, EN4 analyses, and ORAS5 model data, with a significant ocean warming trend.

本产品为一套基于时空插值方法重建的1960年至2022年全球海洋次表层（5-1000 m）温度数据集（ASTEN）。该数据集以经过CODCv1质量控制的海洋原位观测数据为基础，开展垂直插值与水平时空插值构建而成。独立验证集证实了该重建结果具备较高精度。此外，本重建温度数据集与国际主流的IAPv4、EN4分析产品及ORAS5模式数据具有良好的一致性，且呈现出显著的海洋增温趋势。
