Metabolic adaptations and symbiont restructuring in the polyphagous leafhopper Empoasca fabae

This dataset contains a chromosome-level genome assembly and annotations for the leafhopper, Empoasca fabae. In addition, we have deposited the contigs and annotations of seven MAGs that were assembled from Illumina sequencing data. These MAGs include the genomes for the ancient duo, Karelsulcia and Nasuia, a novel isolate MAG for the obligate Symbiopectoabcterium SyEf, as well as four putative facultative associates, Enterobacter mori, Kosakonia cowanii, Pantoe ananatis, and Pantoe aggloromens. Sequencing data for these assemblies and manuscript can be found under following BioProjects on NCBI: PRJNA1435210 (Empaosca fabae genome assembly), PRJNA1442130 (Empoasca fabae transciptome sequencing and assembly), PRJNA1442128 (Empoasca fabae metagenome sequencing and assembly). Please note that three additional Illumina sequencing libraries used in this manuscript reside under the previously published BioProject: PRJNA1160200 (Empoasca fabae mitogenome assembly). All methods detailing genome and metagenome assembly can be found in the associated manuscript.
