This repository contains the fully processed dataset and a lightweight Python script to reproduce the key findings presented in the above study. The analysis reveals that extreme wave peaks in tropical cyclones are spatially "locked" ~20 km outward from the peak surface roughness gradient. **Note:** While the full analysis utilizes 165 raw GPM pixel-level overpasses, this lightweight package allows for the rapid reproduction of **Figures 1, 2, S1, and S2** using only the processed `summary_stats.csv` file. Figures 3 and 4 require raw pixel-level processing and are excluded from this simplified version. --- ## File Descriptions | File Name | Description | | :--- | :--- | | **`summary_stats.csv`** | The primary processed dataset containing 165 tropical cyclone overpass records. Key columns include `TC_Name`, `Max_Wind_Speed_ms`, `Delta_R_km` (the spatial locking offset), `Max_Fh_Gradient`, and `RI_Flag`. | | **`analysis_fast_from_csv.py`** | The lightweight Python script that reads `summary_stats.csv` and directly generates Figures 1, 2, S1, and S2. | | **`explain.txt`** | A plain-text explanation file providing a detailed scientific interpretation for each generated figure. | --- ## Dependencies To run `analysis_fast_from_csv.py`, please ensure you have the following Python packages installed: ```bash pip install pandas numpy matplotlib scipy
