North Temperate Lakes LTER: Pelagic Macroinvertebrate Summary 1983 - current

Five vertical tows are done at the deepest point of each of the seven primary lakes in
the Trout Lake area (Allequash, Big Muskellunge, Crystal, Sparkling, and Trout lakes and bog
lakes 27-02 [Crystal Bog], and 12-15 [Trout Bog]) using a 1-mm mesh net with a 1-m wide
mouth. On Trout Lake four additional sites are sampled, where depths are approximately at 10
m, 15 m, 20 m, and 25 m respectively, with three tows done at each site. All samples are
taken in darkness. Samples are preserved and counted, yielding numbers caught. Derived data
include the mean and standard deviation of the number of each species captured as well as
the mean and standard deviation of the density of individuals on both an areal and
volumetric basis. These night tows target the large invertebrate planktivore component of

本研究针对鳟湖（Trout Lake）区域内7处主要湖泊的各自最深点位，各开展5次垂直拖网采样，7处湖泊分别为Allequash湖、大梭鲈湖（Big Muskellunge）、水晶湖（Crystal）、斯帕克林湖（Sparkling）、鳟湖（Trout Lake），以及编号27-02的泥炭湖[水晶泥炭湖（Crystal Bog）]与编号12-15的泥炭湖[鳟泥炭湖（Trout Bog）]，采样采用网口宽度1米、网目尺寸1毫米的拖网。在鳟湖增设4处额外采样点，各点位水深分别约为10米、15米、20米及25米，每处站点开展3次拖网采样。所有采样作业均于黑暗环境下进行。采集的样本经固定保存后完成计数，得到捕获个体的数量。衍生数据集包含各捕获物种的个体数量均值与标准差，以及单位面积、单位体积下的个体密度均值与标准差。本次夜间拖网采样的目标类群为远洋浮游动物群落中的大型浮游食性无脊椎动物。采样频率：每年1次；总采样站点数：11处
