Everyday rhythms of ageing in the city

This study explores the temporal, spatial, and gendered patterns of activity among older people in a neighbourhood park in Beijing. Using systematic behavioural mapping, GIS-based spatial analysis, and activity intensity measured by Metabolic Equivalent of Task (METs), a total of 5,069 observations were recorded. The findings reveal distinct temporal rhythms in park use.

本研究以北京某社区公园的老年群体为研究对象，从时间、空间与性别维度剖析其活动模式。本研究采用系统化行为映射法、基于地理信息系统（GIS）的空间分析方法，以及以任务代谢当量（Metabolic Equivalent of Task，METs）为指标的活动强度测算手段，共记录得到5069条观测数据。研究结果揭示了该公园使用的鲜明时间节律特征。
