Foot-stiffening socks reduce the metabolic cost of walking

The dataset contains lower limb joint kinematics, kinetics, ankle extensor muscle mechanics and activation, and metabolic cost during walking. We also included material testing of the intervention tools and de-identified anthropometric data in the Excel file.We also uploaded customized MATLAB codes for ankle gearing, fascicle based and EMG based active muscle volume calculation. Noted, we used commercialized biomechanical data analysis tool-VISUAL3D for joint level mechanical calculations. And ultrasound imaging process was preprocessed using UltraTrack, an open source MATLAB GUI.
