This dataset contains algal strains stored in the Freshwater Algae Culture Collection of the Institute of Hydrobiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (FACHB) and their associated information. The covered fields include the Chinese common name, Latin scientific name, strain accession number, culture conditions, culture medium, isolation date, collection location, habitat characteristics, collectors, isolators, and photographs of the algal strains. This dataset serves researchers engaged in algal-related research at universities and research institutes, enterprises focused on algae development and utilization, as well as monitoring and technical departments working on aquatic environment and aquatic ecology.
