APEC O2 was isolated from a chicken clinically diagnosed with colibacillosis. It has two large, well-characterized plasmids ( one encoding antimicrobial resistance and one encoding virulence). Because of the plasmids, APEC O2 has been using in studies on antimicrobial resistance and virulence. The chromosomal contents has not been available until now.APEC O2 从临床确诊为大肠杆菌病（colibacillosis）的鸡只中分离获得。该菌株携带有两个已得到充分表征的大型质粒，其中一个编码抗菌耐药性，另一个编码毒力。正因携带这两类质粒，APEC O2 被广泛应用于抗菌耐药性与毒力相关研究。迄今为止，其染色体遗传物质的相关信息仍未被获取。
