The main purpose of this work was to approach the EEG data from a framework of examining brain network differences associated with MDD. This was accomplished by using source modeling to localize EEG activity to standard network nodes analogous to those examined in resting state fMRI. Within and between network effects of group and condition (eyes open or closed) were examined in theta, alpha, and beta coherence across the DMN, FPN, and SN brain networks that comprise the triple network.

本研究的核心目的是基于筛查与重度抑郁症(Major Depressive Disorder, MDD)相关脑网络差异的分析框架,开展脑电图(Electroencephalogram, EEG)数据的相关分析。本研究通过源建模技术将脑电图活动定位至与静息态功能磁共振成像(resting-state fMRI)中所考察的标准脑网络节点相类似的节点。针对构成三重网络的默认模式网络(Default Mode Network, DMN)、额顶控制网络(Frontoparietal Network, FPN)与突显网络(Salience Network, SN),本研究在θ、α及β频段的相干性指标下,考察了分组与实验条件(睁眼或闭眼)对应的网络内及网络间效应。
