The draft genome sequence of strain H105 was about 6.1M, the strain H105 was isolated from Erba brine-seawater interface of Red Sea. Deep-sea brine pools are the least explored biosphere on Earth, with many extreme features such as hypersaline, high concentrations of heavy metals, and steep gradients, which harbor numerous distinctive heterotrophic microbial communities, some of which presenting novel phyla specific to the deep-sea brines and these brines have been a long-term target for the study of halophilic microbiota, the isolation and characterization of new extreme representative microbes from the brine-filled Deeps will significantly advance our understanding of the in situ metabolisms, energy producing processes and environmental adaptive activities in the distinctly harsh habitats.
