Organic Farming Experiences- Dataset

The dataset is about the experiences of new-entrants in the field of organic agriculture based in India. Video recordings of online conferences were utilized to analyze organic farmers' narratives using qualitative research methodology, particularly thematic analysis. The narrations were mostly typed verbatim to create transcripts and in some cases memos created by the author served as the raw data. The data deposited here contains the transcripts, notes, and codebook (in both word and excel format) consisting of all the codes originally created in NVivo software. The themes that comprise the qualitative findings cover three aspects- motivation to adopt organic farming, activities undertaken by the new-entrants, and, experiences gained through practicing sustainable agriculture..

本数据集聚焦印度有机农业领域新进入者的从业体验。研究采用质性研究方法（Qualitative Research Methodology），尤以主题分析法（Thematic Analysis）为核心分析框架，对在线会议录像中的有机农场主叙事内容展开分析。研究者将绝大多数叙事内容进行逐字转录（Verbatim）以生成转录文本（Transcripts），部分情况下还使用作者自行撰写的研究备忘录（Memos）作为原始数据。本数据集收录的内容包括转录文本、研究笔记以及编码手册（Codebook），提供Word与Excel两种格式，其中编码手册涵盖了最初在NVivo质性分析软件（NVivo）中生成的全部编码条目。本次质性研究的定性发现覆盖三大主题维度：有机农业的采用动机、新进入者开展的各类实践活动，以及践行可持续农业过程中积累的从业经验。
