Viral metagenome in feces from wild elks in China. Cervus canadensis

We describe here the metagenomics-derived viral sequences found in fecal samples collected from wild elks in China. Feces can be the source of numerous vial infections in animals. A library was then constructed using Nextera XT DNA Sample Preparation Kit (Illumina) and then sequenced using the Miseq Illumina platform with 250 bases paired ends with a distinct molecular tag for each pool.

本研究描述了从中国野生麋鹿粪便样本中获取的宏基因组学（metagenomics）来源病毒序列。粪便可成为动物多种病毒感染的传染源。随后采用Illumina公司的Nextera XT DNA样本制备试剂盒（Nextera XT DNA Sample Preparation Kit）构建测序文库，并通过Illumina MiSeq测序平台完成250碱基双端测序，且每个测序混合池均配备独特的分子标签。
