Share of consumers saving money for holiday gifts in Canada 2019-2022

In 2022, just over 30 percent of Canadian consumers stated that they had been saving money throughout the year to help pay for gifts during the holiday season. This is a decrease of about five percent compared to 2021. During each year prior to 2022, nearly 40 percent of Canadians had been saving.
