资源简介:

This dataset contains a statistical comparison of predicted metabolic reaction fluxes between young and aged macrophages under three polarization states: M0, M1, and M2. Young mice comprise the 2- and 6-month age groups, whereas aged mice comprise the 12- and 24-month groups. For each macrophage state, the pooled young and aged groups include six biological observations. Metabolic flux analysis was performed using Compass, with Mouse-GEM as the genome-scale metabolic model. The resulting dataset comprises 18,957 directional reaction features. For each reaction, the workbook reports descriptive statistics for both age groups, the aged-minus-young mean difference, fold-change metrics, a two-sided Welch’s t-test, Cohen’s d effect size, and Benjamini–Hochberg false discovery rate (FDR) correction across all tested reactions. The Excel workbook contains three worksheets—M0, M1, and M2—each presenting the 250 reactions with the largest absolute differences between young and aged macrophages. Reactions are annotated with the direction of change and separate indicators for nominal and FDR-adjusted statistical significance. These tables are intended to support the identification of age-associated metabolic alterations and the prioritization of reactions and metabolic pathways for subsequent biological interpretation and experimental validation. No reaction reached an FDR-adjusted significance threshold of q < 0.05. Therefore, the reported rankings and nominal associations should be interpreted as exploratory findings rather than confirmatory evidence. The reported reaction scores are computational predictions and may depend on the transcriptomic input data, Mouse-GEM reconstruction, model constraints, and Compass analysis settings.
