Ten perfluorinated alkyl substances (PFAS), including linear and branched isomers, were surveyed in samples collected from the Fountain Creek Watershed. Water, soil, and sediment samples were collected monthly from eight locations in the Fountain Creek Watershed for a full year (May 2018 through May 2019). Environmental samples were prepared via solid phase extraction (SPE) prior to high-performance liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC/MS/MS) analysis on a Shimadzu LCMS-8030 system with coupled LC fitted with a Waters XBridge C18 column (50 mm x 4.6 mm x 3 micron particle). These data are useful for investigators interested in the long-term environmental presence and impact of PFAS released into the environment. We hypothesized that PFAS concentrations in water, soil, and sediment samples would be statistically significantly higher (P < 0.05) in environmental samples south of Peterson Air Force Base (PAFB). These data are of interest to investigators and entities seeking to understand the longer term impact of PFAS release into surface and groundwater resources.
