Sports and Kids Survey, 1999

<p>This survey was sponsored by Kaiser Family Foundation and conducted by the Princeton Survey Research Associates. A sample of 1,950 parents and a sample of 1,500 children aged 10-17 were interviewed from July 24 - August 24, 1999. Major topics covered: groups that influence children; influence of athletes; people child looks up to; sports; description of famous athletes; influence of famous athletes; lessons learned from athletes; athletes & health issues; athletes & likelihood of doing things; athlete actions on field; athletes & Ads; medicare & athletes; male vs. female athletes; participation in sports.</p>
