Occurrence data on lycopene provided to EFSA
The files contain the raw occurrence data on lycopene in food collected by EFSA as follows: 1) Data from an ad-hoc call for use levels of lycopene as a food additive (E 160d); 2) Data from an ad-hoc call for use levels of lycopene as novel food; 3) Analytical data from the annual chemical monitoring data collection, intended to reflect the actual levels of lycopene from natural occurrence, as well as the uses of lycopene as food additive or novel food. The data was presented in the EFSA scientific report on ‘Dietary exposure to lycopene from background diet, novel foods and food additive use in the European population’. Datasets 1) and 2) are following the data model of the ad-hoc call. Dataset 3) is compliant with EFSA SSD2 data model. The link to the catalogues of controlled terminologies for the updated textual description of fields values can be found under "Related works, supplemented by”. Although this dataset was not considered in the exposure assessment, containing insufficient number of quantified results, it is published for transparency.
