ITA-ELECTION-2022 is a multi-platform dataset created by Politecnico di Milano, focused on social media conversations during the 2022 Italian general election. Collected via public APIs and keyword searches, this dataset contains millions of posts published by users, pages and groups across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, as well as metadata for videos hosted on TikTok and YouTube, spanning a four-month period. In addition, the dataset also includes political advertisements and social media accounts of political representatives on Meta platforms. This dataset aims to assist researchers and scholars in gaining in-depth insights into the role of social media within democratic processes, particularly in the fields of political science, sociology, digital ethics, and information disorder research.
