Processed ship-based Multibeam Sonar Data (version 2) acquired at the Galapagos Spreading Center during the Atlantis expedition AT11-27 (2005)

This data set was acquired with a ship-based SeaBeam 2112 Multibeam Sonar system during Atlantis expedition AT11-27 conducted in 2005 (Chief Scientist: Dr. Timothy Shank). These data files are of MBSystem format and include Sidescan, Swath Bathymetry, and Acoustic Backscatter data and were processed by the GMRT Team using the open source MB-System multibeam sonar processing software as part of the GMRT Synthesis effort. These data are included in the GMRT Synthesis, version 2.1. Data were acquired as part of the project(s): Ultrastructure of Hydrothermal Vent Foraminifers, and funding was provided by NOAA and WHOI.
