This file includes a summary of all behavioral data for each individual male during the simulated courtship interactions. MaleID= This is the unique identification of the focal male; Most males were banded with USFWS silver bands with a 9 digit number. A few males were unbanded (UB) and one male was not identified fully but was color-banded (red o s). We are certain that each of these males was a unique male based on their territory location. Date= Date of the trial Julian= A Julian date of the trial TapeNo= These are the names of the unique playback tapes used in each trial. Explanation of how the tapes were created is included in the Methods section. LureSubsp= The subspecies of the female stimulus LureID= The number assigned to each female stimulus. Females were color banded so that we could identify each female. LRS= The number of long-range songs performed by each male during the trial SRS= The duration of short-range song performed by each male during the trial TS= The amount of time that the male spent spreading his tail feathers during the trial PT= The amount of time the male spent with his body feather erect (ptiloerection) during the trial WIN5= The amount of time the male spent within 5 meters of the female stimulus during the trial CA= The closest the male approached the female stimulus
