Kite Aerial Photography NIMS grid Atqasuk, Alaska 2010

Aerial photographs of the Networked Info-mechanical Systems (NIMS) grid in Atqasuk, Alaska were taken using a rig and kite system. As part of the NIMS grid, white boards were nailed into the tundra to act as Ground Control Points (GCPs). The purpose of these boards was to facilitate the visibility of the grid from the aerial photographs, as well as to facilitate georeferencing using ArcMap GIS. Most of the pictures taken are high resolution although only a few are lacking good quality. The photographs are arranged according to flight date. The kite was flown about 2 times a week throughout July and August of summer 2010.

阿拉斯加州阿特夸斯克（Atqasuk）地区网络化信息机械系统（Networked Info-mechanical Systems, NIMS）网格的航拍照片，采用支架与风筝系统拍摄完成。作为该NIMS网格的配套设施，研究人员将白色标牌钉设于苔原之上，作为地面控制点（Ground Control Points, GCPs）。此类标牌的核心功能在于：一是提升该网格在航拍照片中的辨识度，二是便于借助ArcMap GIS开展地理配准工作。本次拍摄获取的照片绝大多数为高分辨率影像，仅少数存在画质瑕疵。所有航拍照片均按照飞行拍摄日期进行排序归档。2010年夏季的7月与8月期间，该风筝拍摄系统每周约开展2次飞行作业。
