The bacterial community in rivers receiving untreated domestic wastewater discharge may show specific longitudinal and vertical assemblage patterns due to wide gradients in physicochemical conditions shaped by periodic algal bloom. However, there remains a major lack of comprehensive understanding of such information. Accordingly, we used high-throughput sequencing of 16S rRNA gene amplicons and multivariate statistics to intensively characterize bacterial community composition across time and space in a river segment receiving domestic wastewater discharge in southeast China.
接纳未处理生活污水排放的河流中,细菌群落(bacterial community)或因周期性藻华塑造的理化环境存在显著梯度,进而呈现出独特的纵向与垂向群落组合模式。然而当前学界对这类群落分布规律的全面认知仍存在显著缺口。为此,本研究以中国东南部某接纳生活污水排放的河段为研究对象,采用16S rRNA基因扩增子高通量测序(high-throughput sequencing of 16S rRNA gene amplicons)与多元统计分析(multivariate statistics),对该河段细菌群落组成的时空分布特征开展了系统性深入解析。
