Chatham Sound Conductivity Temperature Depth Deployed 2016-03-30

The Sea-Bird SeaCAT SBE19plus V2 6812 was deployed on 2016-03-30 at Chatham Sound. Chatham Sound is a sound on the North Coast of British Columbia, located between Dundas and Stephens Islands and the Tsimpsean Peninsula near Prince Rupert. This device is a Conductivity Temperature Depth. Conductivity Temperature Depth (CTD) is an instrument package that contains sensors for measuring the conductivity, temperature, and pressure of seawater. Salinity, sound velocity, depth and density are variables that can be derived from sensor measurements. CTDs can carry additional instruments and sensors such as oxygen sensors, turbidity sensors and fluorometers. It was deployed on a fixed platform. Data from this deployment were archived and made available through Ocean Networks Canada's Oceans 2.0 digital infrastructure, with quality assurance and derived data products following established practices.海鸟（Sea-Bird）SeaCAT SBE19plus V2 6812型设备于2016年3月30日在查塔姆海峡（Chatham Sound）完成布放。查塔姆海峡地处不列颠哥伦比亚省北海岸，位于邓达斯岛、斯蒂芬斯岛与鲁珀特王子港附近的辛普森安半岛（Tsimpsean Peninsula）之间。该设备为导电率-温度-深度（Conductivity Temperature Depth, CTD）测量系统，是一套集成了海水电导率、温度与压力传感器的仪器套件，可通过传感器采集的测量数据推导出盐度、声速、水深与海水密度等变量。该类测量系统还可搭载额外的仪器与传感器，例如溶氧传感器、浊度传感器与荧光计。本次布放作业依托固定式平台开展。此次布放获取的观测数据已完成归档，并通过加拿大海洋网络（Ocean Networks Canada）的Oceans 2.0数字基础设施对外共享，其质量保障流程与衍生数据产品均遵循行业既定规范。
