Domestic Material Consumption for Australia

This dataset contains estimated Domestic Material Consumption (DMC) for Australia, disaggregated by the four main material categories used in Economy Wide Material Flows Accounting i.e. biomass, fossil fuels metal ores, and non-metallic minerals. DMC measures the above classes of materials used directly in economic activity in a nation’s territory. It is calculated as the total of those materials extracted directly from the environment within a nation’s territory, plus the total tonnage of those materials imported, less the tonnage of those materials exported.

本数据集包含澳大利亚的国内物质消耗量（Domestic Material Consumption, DMC）估算值，按经济范围物质流核算（Economy Wide Material Flows Accounting）所采用的四大主要物质类别进行细分，即生物质、化石燃料、金属矿石与非金属矿物。国内物质消耗量用于衡量一国领土范围内经济活动直接使用的上述类别物质，其计算方式为：一国领土内直接从环境中提取的此类物质总吨位，加上此类物质的进口总吨位，再减去此类物质的出口总吨位。
