Glasgow-born poet, translator, playwright and critic Edwin George Morgan OBE FRSE (1920 – 2010), wrote 'The Welcome' specifically for the occasion of the IFLA Conference 2002, IFLA's 75th anniversary. Morgan was Poet Laureate for Glasgow at the time and later National Poet for Scotland [Makar]. Includes photograph of signed print, along with full text and explanatory notes from IFLA Journal.
