Building groups of 100 buildings or more must be within 500 meters of each other. A further refinement step was carried out where the Urban Areas were aligned to Small Areas such that Urban areas are groupings of full Small Areas.</p>城市区域（Urban Areas）是由中央统计局（CSO）、Tailte Éireann与住房部联合开发的新型城市地理数据集，其生成过程基于Prime2建筑计数规则与建筑间距约束的自动化流程。 纳入城市区域的建筑需满足两项准入条件：一是隶属于至少包含100栋建筑的建筑组；二是单栋建筑与其他任意建筑的间距不得超过65米。对于规模达100栋及以上的建筑组，组内任意两栋建筑的间距不得超过500米。此外，该数据集还实施了进一步的精细化优化步骤：将城市区域与小区域（Small Areas）进行匹配对齐，确保城市区域均由完整的小区域组合而成。
