Transcriptomic profiling of Mtb grown in phosphate limited or phosphate enriched media showed differential expression of a large set of genes, giving insight into how Mtb remodels its transcriptome depending on the concentrations of phosphate available in its environment. Replicate cultures of Mtb were grown either in phosphate limited or phosphate enriched medium and global transcriptomes were compared.

对在磷酸盐限制或磷酸盐富集培养基中培养的结核分枝杆菌(Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Mtb)开展转录组分析,结果显示其存在大量基因的差异表达,这为阐明结核分枝杆菌如何根据环境中可获取的磷酸盐浓度重塑自身转录组提供了关键见解。研究中将结核分枝杆菌的重复培养物分别接种于磷酸盐限制与磷酸盐富集培养基中进行培养,并对其全转录组展开比较分析。
