This data set contains Maize, Zea mays L. in South Africa and is the country`s most important field and grain crop. Objectives of the study was to simulate maize yields, and their inter-annual, at a spatial resolution of Quaternary Catchments for 12 different combinations of three plant dates, viz. 15 October, 15 November and 15 December. This was done to evaluate which hybrid lengths and plant dates give the highest yields irrespective of plant dates and hybrid lengths respectively and also which hybrid lengths and plant dates give the lowest coefficients of variation (%) irrespective of plant dates and hybrid lengths respectively.
本数据集涵盖南非境内的玉米(Zea mays L.),该作物是南非最为重要的大田与粮食作物。本研究以第四纪集水区为空间分辨率单元,针对3种播种日期(10月15日、11月15日及12月15日)的12种不同组合,模拟玉米产量及其年际变化。开展上述模拟的目的在于,分别开展两类评估:其一,分别在不考虑播种日期差异(即仅聚焦杂交品种生育期长度的影响)与不考虑杂交品种生育期长度差异(即仅聚焦播种日期的影响)两种场景下,评估何种组合可实现最高产量;其二,在上述两种相同场景下,评估何种组合可获得最低的产量变异系数(%)。
