A mapping population of 86 F2 plants, with associated F3 familes, was created by rescue through embryo culture of F1 embryos arising from the cross Vigna umbellata 'Kagoshima' x Vigna angularis 'Erimoshouzi'. The plants were genotyped with hetrologous RFLP probes, RAPD markers and morphologic characters.

本研究构建了一套包含86株F2植株的作图群体，并配套获得了对应的F3家系；该群体通过对杂交组合饭豆（Vigna umbellata）'Kagoshima' × 小豆（Vigna angularis）'Erimoshouzi'所产生的F1胚进行胚挽救培养得到。随后，研究人员采用异源限制性片段长度多态性（Restriction Fragment Length Polymorphism, RFLP）探针、随机扩增多态性DNA（Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA, RAPD）标记以及形态性状对该群体完成了基因分型。
