Mitogenome of Oryza glaberrima: Comparative Analysis and Phylogenetic Relationships

This project aims to characterize the complete mitochondrial genome of O. glaberrima, and conduct comparative analyses with other rice species. The study focuses on determining evolutionary and phylogenetic relationships within the Oryza genus, with emphasis on mitochondrial genome organization and structural features. Understanding these genomic characteristics will provide insights into the genetic diversity and adaptive mechanisms that distinguish O. glaberrima from other rice species, particularly regarding environmental stress resilience and their implications for rice breeding programs.
