melatonin enhanced cold stress tolerance in pepper

Melatonin, a novel plant hormone, is considered to enhance abiotic stress tolerance in plants, particularly under cold stress conditions. In pepper plants, melatonin has been shown to effectively improve cold stress tolerance. After seven days of cold stress treatment, we observed significant physiological and molecular responses, indicating the protective role of melatonin against cold stress.

褪黑素（Melatonin）作为一种新型植物激素（plant hormone），被认为可提升植物的非生物胁迫（abiotic stress）耐受能力，在冷胁迫（cold stress）条件下尤为突出。研究表明，褪黑素可有效增强辣椒植株（pepper plants）的冷胁迫耐受性。在历经7天冷胁迫处理后，我们观测到了显著的生理响应与分子响应，证实了褪黑素抵御冷胁迫的保护作用。
