PROVERBS EXPRESSING INTERETHNIC RELATIONS AND INTERPERSONAL HARMONY IN ENGLISH AND UZBEK LANGUAGES

This article explores proverbs that reflect interethnic relations and interpersonal harmony in both English and Uzbek languages. Proverbs, as a key element of folk wisdom and cultural identity, offer valuable insights into how different societies perceive peaceful coexistence, mutual respect, and social harmony. The study aims to identify and analyze common themes, symbolic imagery, and moral messages found in English and Uzbek paremial units that promote unity, tolerance, and cooperation among individuals and ethnic groups. A comparative approach is employed to highlight both similarities and differences in the worldview and cultural values embedded in these proverbs. The findings reveal that despite linguistic and cultural differences, both traditions emphasize the importance of solidarity, empathy, and peaceful interaction as essential values for maintaining societal cohesion. The article contributes to the understanding of how traditional expressions can serve as tools for fostering intercultural understanding and harmony in a multicultural world.本文探讨了英语与乌兹别克语中反映族际关系与人际和谐的谚语。谚语作为民间智慧与文化认同的核心载体，可为洞悉不同社会如何看待和平共处、相互尊重与社会和谐提供宝贵视角。本研究旨在识别并分析英、乌两种语言中促进个体与族群间团结、包容与合作的谚语单元（paremial units）所蕴含的共同主题、象征意象与道德寓意。本研究采用比较研究方法，以凸显蕴含于这些谚语之中的世界观与文化价值观的异同。研究结果表明，尽管存在语言与文化差异，两种语言的谚语传统均强调团结、共情与和平互动的重要性，将其视为维系社会凝聚力的核心价值。本文有助于深化对传统表达如何在多元文化世界中充当促进跨文化理解与和谐的工具的认知。
