This dataset contains X-ray CT images from Experiment 2 of the study titled "Drainage, Imbibition, and Trapping Behavior of Hydrogen versus Methane in Fractured Limestone from a Natural Gas Storage Aquifer in Belgium." Experiment 2 was conducted on a fractured reservoir rock sample with a diameter of 25 mm, a fracture width of 255 µm, and a length of 45 mm. Due to the limited field of view of the scanner, the sample was scanned in two parts—top and bottom—for the dry scan. Fluids (gas or brine) were injected from the bottom of the vertically mounted sample, and multiphase flow scans were performed exclusively on the bottom part (near the injection point). The dataset includes experiments for drainage and imbibition using hydrogen, methane, and a 95:5 hydrogen-methane mixture (based on partial pressure).
